Charity Santa Run

At Civil Service College we are always looking for ways to help our local communities and charities to heart. Last year we took part in Wok 1000, which involved cooking for the homeless. This year being in the nature of our organisation (providing training and courses across the civil service and the wider public sector), we decided to support and bring awareness to ‘The Charity for Civil Servants’.

What are we doing exactly?

Not 1 but 5 of our team members from Civil Service College have volunteered to run for this year’s Santa Run at Victoria Park on the 8th December. For some of the participants, it is not only a good cause for this Christmas but also a great challenge for some as they try to achieve their personal goals (if running is your thing).

Speaking of running…As we have all started training for this and thought it would great to share with you the importance of exercise! If you have read The Charity for Civil Servants and Mental Health Foundation booklet guides:

You will find some great tips and advice and exercise being one of them!

WE DID IT!

Thank you to all those who supported us in raising money for the Charity for Civil Servants through our Santa run. We were able to raise £771.70! A special thank you to our runners Ade, Bethany & Shareen for their participation in the run.
