Introducing Our Diversity Lecture Speaker, Professor Dame Donna Kinnair

The Diversity Lecture & Q&A

22 September 2022 -
Day 2 - 10:00 -11:30

Our Festival of Doing ED&I Differently brings together thought leaders, change-makers, and allies to share their stories and perspectives, bringing their voices to our dialogue.

On day 2 of our Festival programme, we will hold a  Diversity Lecture event.  The Diversity Lecture will be delivered by an outstanding individual, who is an inspiring and influential figure. Our Lecturer will bring important topics to life through the storytelling experience, including personal and professional anecdotes. The Lecture will be delivered over 90 minutes including a Q&A.

This year we are honoured to host Professor Dame Donna Kinnair, non-Executive Director at the East London NHS Foundation Trust, who will be sharing her journey as a child of Caribbean parent of the Windrush Generation to ultimately become the nation’s most senior Black nurse. Dame Kinnair speaks to the ways in which she has had to navigate the barriers and overcome challenges she faced in a system that was designed without people who look like her in mind. This is a storytelling experience, including both personal and professional anecdotes, as well as an interactive Q&A facilitated session.
