NewICT Strategy, Governance and Artificial Intelligence Opportunities Toolkit
This two-week programme combines:
An organisation’s ICT strategy must be linked to its corporate future vision through systematic analysis of the business environment. Transformational change often means taking on increasingly large and complex ICT project portfolio, innovative initiatives and the latest digital services. As Artificial intelligence (IA) constitutes a major component of the digital technologies that are transforming public and private sector business practices, it is essential for organisations to understand the emergent opportunities and risks and develop their capacity to effectively harness, manage and oversee these new technologies and ICT initiatives.
This course examines the rationale for ICT strategy and the reasons why an organisation might need a governance framework; and it explores the key factors involved in a transformation process which entails the strategic adoption of AI and related digital technologies. Key areas explored include: market trends that could enable or disrupt an organisation’s services; the impact of digital technology changes on human capital; effective digital project management; legal and regulatory considerations; and key issues, risks, constraints and cost implications associated with digital technology choices and ICT service provision.
Delegates will learn how to create a robust ICT strategy and how to implement it. They will explore well-established assurance techniques and critical governance structures and roles. Delegates will examine a range of practical applications of AI and how they are enhancing services and product offerings and bringing improvements in performance and efficiency. Crucially, they will also explore the potential for AI applications within their own organisation context.
