Authors

Marcial Boo was Chief Executive for 6 years of the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority, the public body that regulates and pays MPs' salaries and expenses. He was previously a senior civil servant at the Home Office and Department for Education, working on adult basic skills, crime reduction and counter-terrorism. He was also an advisor to the Prime Minister's Delivery Unit, and a director at both the Audit Commission and the National Audit Office.

Alexander Stevenson is the co-founder of RSe Consulting. Alexander advised more than 150 public sector organisations and partnerships on management. He is also the author of Public Sector: Managing the Unmanageable and is the founder of Blume which finds experienced freelancers for charities.
