In the current VUCA world (volatile, uncertain, complex, ambiguous) the ability to function as a flexible and adaptive team is vital for organisations. Inter- and intra-organisational collaborations are becoming the norm, as complex projects require the input of multiple specialists and stakeholders. 

The Leadership, Team Skills & Collaboration and course focus on boosting effective teamwork and collaboration, using Applied Improvisation as a fast-track experiential methodology.  It aims to help individuals and teams to become more effective by providing direct experiential insight into which attitudes, mindsets, and behaviours help and hinder this development.

This course is from our Leadership & Management series. At the Civil Service College, we tailor our courses to each attendee’s role and organisation, ensuring that each participant gets the most out of the training. Anyone who has a need to operate as part of a team, or to collaborate with others – which is more or less everyone!

Learning Outcomes:

Participants will develop an understanding of the personal mindsets, attitudes, and behaviours the help achieve good teamwork and will have a direct visceral experience of how good teamwork feels. During the Leadership & Team Skills course, they will learn the difference between teamwork and collaboration, and access to the different skills required for each mode

They will develop flexibility in the face of uncertainty and discover techniques for group creative problem-solving. They will get experience in both confident leadership and strong followership, vital for flexible and adaptable teams.
