HR for Non-HR Managers

The HR function has wide-ranging responsibilities in carrying out employee-related activities as well as ensuring that the organisation is compliant with employment law and has the required HR policies and procedures to ensure success for the organisation and the people employed within it.

As a line manager there are many challenges to managing a team of staff and the expectation now is that in many organisations that the HR Function is there to guide, support and advise both the staff and the managers.

In an ever-changing business world, line managers may have the technical expertise but may need to enhance their knowledge with their management of people.

There will be an opportunity for line managers to bring any challenging issues that they may be experiencing in their departments as these issues could be used as real-life scenarios in a confidential setting.
